Benefits

 

Our employees are the most valuable and important asset of our firm. In recognition of this we do our best to offer benefits which enhance our employees’ professional and personal lives. The following is a list of some of our full-time employee benefits.

 

Bonus

To reward a strong performance, all employees are eligible to receive a year-end bonus. Bonuses are typically from the firm’s profit, when cash flow permits.

401K Retirement Plan

Available to all employees, our firm’s plan allows you to deduct a portion of your salary on a tax-deferred basis. We will match 100% up to 3% and 50% up to the next 2% of employee’s elective salary deferral contributions.

Flexible Schedule

We have a core time from 9am to 4pm (excluding lunch) in order to better serve our clients; otherwise, employees may choose their preferred schedule.

Health Insurance

We will pay 80% of the premiums for your individual health care coverage, 20% of dependent coverage at the base plan level. Our health insurance coverage is with United Health Care (three options available). We also offer dental coverage and AFLAC supplemental income plans (short term disability, accident, etc.) at the employee’s expense through a cafeteria plan.

Life Insurance

We pay for $25,000 of life insurance for each employee.

Long Term Disability Insurance

We pay 100% of our employee’s long term disability insurance.

Cafeteria Plan

Employee purchased insurance such as family medical, dental, supplemental income, cancer, etc. can be purchased with pretax dollars through our cafeteria plan.

Paid Time Off (PTO)

Employees may use available PTO for vacation, illness, children’s school events, religious observations or any other personal business. Employees with less than five years of service receive 15 days per year; employees with 5 to 10 years receive 20 days per year; and employees with 10 or more years of service receive 25 days per year. Holidays

McVeigh & Mangum celebrates 7 paid holidays per year. (New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day)

Professional Association Membership Reimbursement

Employees may join approved professional or networking organizations of their choice and receive an annual reimbursement up to $300.00.

Professional Registration

We urge all of our professionals to obtain registration as a licensed engineer (or technical certification). Employees will be given time off with pay for the purpose of taking examinations. We will pay for the cost of registration and annual renewals in the state of residence (and other states if the company requests registration).

Continuing Professional Education

In order to avoid professional obsolescence we encourage continuing education through in-house seminars and out-of-house meetings/seminars.

Tuition Reimbursement

MME will provide tuition assistance for all courses that are part of a degree, licensing, or certification program which relate to the employee’s current job duties, or a foreseeable future position, up to $5,250.00 a year.

First Time Homebuyer

Employees may apply for up to $2,500 in assistance for the purchase of their first home.
