Mechanical Engineer – Atlanta

We currently have a unique opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer in our Atlanta office . With offices in Atlanta, Charlotte, Jacksonville and Raleigh, McVeigh & Mangum Engineering has assembled an exceptional team of professionals who provide engineering expertise to the architectural and construction community in the fields of structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering design.

In the Mechanical Engineer role, you will have the opportunity to serve as Project Manager, Client Manager, and Senior Project Engineer. In addition you will have the unique opportunity to help lead and continue to grow our office’s mechanical engineering team. Advancement opportunities exist beyond the position of Mechanical Engineer as our upper leadership team continues to transition into new roles and additional branch offices are formed.

• Provide leadership to the office’s Mechanical Engineering Department
• Help grow the office’s Mechanical Engineering Department
• Lead teams on selected projects, serving as the client’s main point of contact for the engineering team
• Provide oversight of mechanical engineering projects
• Provide specification and design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for architectural projects within defined budgets
• Maintain and foster relationships with clients

• Experience with a focus on:
      o Client Satisfaction
      o Quality
      o Financial Accountability
      o Leading and managing a technical staff
      o Managing architectural projects
• 5-10 years of experience in the design of buildings and related projects
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• Registered Mechanical Engineer in the state of Georgia
• Experience in the design of HVAC, hydronic piping systems, central plants, building automation, medical gas, plumbing, and fire protection systems for
  various types of projects including commercial, industrial, institutional, healthcare and residential construction
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit

• Energy Modeling experience
• LEED AP accreditation
• Commissioning Certification
